Call to action: invitation to join EU COST proposal
BEACON of hope: an open call to a science and technology coordination action proposal aimed at developing AI-powered technologies to enhance One Health education
The BEACON project, Building Education and One Health with Adaptive Convergence and Open Networks, is an exciting new initiative designed to integrate human, animal, and environmental health into high school curricula EU-wide and abroad using advanced technologies like automated translation, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR). Our aim is to foster critical thinking, cultural sensitivity, and problem-solving skills, while promoting global collaboration and preparing students for real-world health challenges.
As part of this EU COST Action, we offer opportunities for Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) and fully-funded in-person work group meetings, with no mandatory commitments required. This is a unique chance to engage in interdisciplinary research, share knowledge, and help shape the future of One Health education.
We welcome new members and contributions as we finalize our proposal, which is due on 23 October 2024, at 12:00 (noon) CEST. Please join us today via our group or email us to share your important insights and be part of this impactful initiative. Together, we can make a difference!
Thanks for your attention and support. A more in-depth explanation of the action proposal work-plan, longer read on how to join in, can be found here:
