On the event on epistemological violence side, our first talk will be by Dr. Safieh Shah, MD MPH. We are honored to announce an upcoming talk by a distinguished Muslim woman of colour, who has extensive experience working with European humanitarian and healthcare organizations, including Médecins Sans Frontières and the World Health Organization, as well as various Ministries of Health and NGOs.
Her talk will address the pressing issues of racism and epistemic violence in healthcare and social services. She has encountered these challenges firsthand and has worked tirelessly to combat them through peace building and academic rigor. Despite facing significant professional obstacles, including exclusion and appropriation of her work, she continues to advocate for equity and justice.
Join us on July 14th at 1500 (UTC+05:00), which is 12:00 PM Berlin time, 6:00 AM New York time, and 6:00 AM Washington D.C. time, for an insightful and respectful discussion.
